A FLORENTINE FAMILY
The history of Florence is deeply intertwined with the stories of its families. Our boutique apartments harmonize with the city’s rich heritage, being part of a larger property that has belonged to the same family for generations.
In the late nineteenth century, Ferdinando Della Nave acquired this beautiful property, encompassing the courtyard, garden, and various annexes. As the patriarch of the Della Nave family, Ferdinando combined his love for botany with a keen sense of business, creating a legacy that endures today. The Della Nave family still resides in the historic Bufalini Palace, preserving a vital connection to Florence’s vibrant past and enriching our guests’ experience with a touch of authentic Florentine history.

Reception
During your stay, our staff is at your service. Our reception is open every day from 9.00 am to 6.30pm.
Baby Friendly
Children are more than welcome at La Gabbia del Grillo. Upon request we can provide a high chair, crib, small tub, and a miniguide suitable for families.
Luggage hold
After checkout, you can leave your luggage with our staff at reception. Just make sure to collect it before closing time.
